YOUR BODY WEIGHT IS NOT LINKED TO YOUR BODY FAT!
Our body weight is affected by many factors.
*If you eat too much salt one day
*Eat a lot of carbs
*Haven’t been to the toilet
*How much you have drunk or eaten
*The time of month (girls)
Similarly, if you gain muscle and lose fat over the course of a few months, you may see your body weight increase even though you look better in the mirror.
Tracking body weight is a useful measure only if you know exactly how your weight is being affected by things like muscle gain or water retention. A better way to keep track of progress is by taking progress pictures and focus on seeing your body change the way you want it to.
So stop using the scales for a means to measure if you are losing fat and give your mental health a breather too!
