Corona Virus Update
ENSURING EVERYONE REMAINS FIT, ACTIVE AND HEALTHY AND AVOIDING THE WINTER BLUES
As you will be aware the COVID-19 Virus has been increasing within the UK, Government advice is that the best way to reduce the risk and spread of this virus is through good hygiene practices.
At this time of year when there are many winter flu/cold viruses around, it is never been more important to wash hands regularly, we would suggest before your work-out and again after your work-out.
For courtesy of others, should you be feeling under the weather, we’d ask you to follow the general NHS and World Health Organisation guidelines and refrain from using the Club until you have recovered from your ailments and to avoid cross contamination to others.
Including washing hands regularly for 20 seconds before and after work-outs, avoid touching your face and catching coughs and sneezes in your elbow or into a tissue that is disposed of immediately.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the additional hygiene practices we have within 3-1-5 to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for all.
We ask all members to bring a sweat towel with them and to use the sanitiser sprays provided to wipe down equipment and sun beds after use, around the club we also have numerous hand sanitising gel dispensers, to allow you to “freshen up” whenever needed.
If you are feeling unwell at all we would also ask that you do not attend the club until feeling well again, to reduce the risk of potential spread of any cold or viruses.
- wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
- always wash your hands when you get home or into work
- use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
- cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
- put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards
- try to avoid close contact with
- people who are unwell
- do not touch your eye, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean
During this time, if anyone finds themselves unable to use the club but well enough to want to remain active, then check out your 3-1-5 Fitness app, Fitsense for your suggested home exercise and challenges.

Swimming and Stingrays
Public Health England have advised that is it generally safe to go swimming at this time, water and chlorine within swimming pools will help kill the virus. We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the additional hygiene practices we have within 3-1-5 to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for all, and we ask all pool users to shower before entering the pool and again to shower on leaving the pool. Around the club we also have numerous hand sanitising gel dispensers, to allow you to “freshen up” whenever needed.
If you or your child are feeling unwell at all we would also ask that you do not attend the club until feeling well again, to reduce the risk of potential spread of any cold or viruses.
3-1-5 and Stingrays Swim School are committed to providing our members and swimmers with a safe and hygienic space to swim, and we are taking this situation very seriously. We are closely monitoring the situation and following advice from Public Health England and UKActive, and we shall update our procedures as and when required.
We thank you for your co-operation in ensuring each and every one of you has a healthy and safe environment.
