We are so happy that tomorrow we get to re-open our doors again. As you know here at 3-1-5 we don’t waste any opportunity to improve our facilities for you. This time it has been no different, with an extended Mind and Body Studio and new roof topping our Alfresco Training Zone it’s been a busy few weeks. We are also in the process of refitting the poolside sauna too.
Last week we wrote to you, to give you an idea of our plans following the initial announcement made by the Government. No sooner had we done so, a few things changed with regards to what we can and can’t offer. The team have been busy working on our plans, filming, scheduling and re-jigging things around and we believe we have made the best of a difficult situation.
So whats the story then?
Lane swimming and the hydrotherapy pool is still available to be booked via your app, FitSense. We are unable to offer aquatic classes at the moment. However, there will be SwimFit & Aqua Running programmes written on the board, should you wish to do your own session in the pool, when you have booked you space.
Saunas and Steam Rooms
The Main Gym Floor
This will be open as always with a maximum capacity in specific areas, such as free-weights. Spotting and training together is not allowed under the current regulations. From our experience between July and November we have very rarely come close to our maximum capacity, however should we hit this limit, we will have to follow a “one in one out” procedure.
Childrens Studio Classes and Teens Timetable
Great news these can run as normal! Classes for under 18s are still authorised to carry on as usual.
Squash & Table Tennis
Bookings can be made in the usual way and the current guidance is that only people who live in the same household or support bubble should be playing together.
Group Exercise Classes
Following on from last weeks announcement we are pleased to let you know that the guidance has now been updated and group exercise classes have now been approved outside ONLY. To make the most of this we have extended our class timetable in the Alfresco Training Zone. We have a few of these on this week, but the main timetable (see below) will be live from Monday.
To accommodate the number of people preferring to train indoors, we have created some virtual sessions that will run on screens in the studios throughout the day. Equipment stations will be set up to allow you to follow along should you wish. Members of our fitness team will pop in regularly to ensure your safety, and to offer encouragement and support. The videos will be on loop throughout the day and so there is no need to book, just drop in.
Spin will be live ready for when we open tomorrow, we aim to have the remainder of the week uploaded by the weekend, or by Monday at the very latest.

We genuinely cannot wait to have you back in the club. Our team have worked so hard over the last few weeks to get everything in place for your big return. We understand that some things have changed and sometimes its things that not everyone agrees with, but we ask you to please remember that a lot of our operating guidelines are currently out of our control. We are in talks with the EHO and our local MPs to see what can be done to ensure that we stick to the rules whilst also give you the programmes, service and facilities you deserve.
As a team we will constantly be reviewing our offerings over the coming weeks. Whether we need to add more classes to our outdoor timetable or adapt our programming in some way please rest assured we will be doing all we can to offer you the best club we can.
Over the last few weeks we have been incredibly overwhelmed at the sheer loveliness of our amazing members. Your comments, well wishes and genuine care for our Club and staff has not gone unseen and we thank you all so much for your continued support. We completely understand that, whilst we are all in the same stormy seas we are most definitely not sailing in the same boat. Everyoone has experienced lockdown and the Covid-19 situation in very different ways. We ask for your patience and kindness towards our staff and fellow members whilst we are open under these challenging circumstances, and hopefully we can stay open and have our own slice of normality inside our wonderful Club.
