NHS Breast Screening
We will be at 315’s National Fitness Day to promote Breast Screening, answer any questions you may have about screening, and we will have some resources and leaflets on general breast awareness.
Breast Screening is for eligible women aged 50 to 70 (before their 71st birthday) who are registered with a GP Practice. Women will receive an invitation to attend for a breast screening mammogram, once every three years, through the NHS Breast Screening Programme.
Eligible women will receive their first invitation before their 53rd birthday. Breast screening can detect breast cancer that is at an early stage when it cannot be seen or felt, and this early detection can save lives and may mean simpler and more successful treatment.

CancerCare North Lancashire & South Cumbria is a local, independent charity who provides free support to adults and children facing the impact of cancer, life-shortening illness or bereavement. We offer a wide range of services including one-to-one counselling, complementary therapies such as aromatherapy and reflexology, and creative support groups, such as art and woodworking. We have four centres in Lancaster, Kendal, Barrow and Morecambe though our support extends across the patch as we visit hospitals and provide online services, too.

Andy's Man Club
ANDYSMANCLUB has free support groups nationwide, running every Monday from 7pm except bank holidays. In these groups, men can open up about the storms affecting their lives in a safe, judgement-free and non-clinical environment. Our clubs are designed to be free of pressure, there is no obligation for men to speak, they can simply listen if they wish.
With thousands of men using our sessions every week, and an army of volunteers on board, the movement is continuing to grow week-by-week. We firmly believe in the power of talking and that #ItsOkayToTalk.
The aim of the club is to provide men with a safe space where they feel comfortable to talk and open up about their experiences in a room free of judgment.
