Celebrating our Special Populations
Friday 25th September
3-1-5 Specialist Populations was built on the foundation of helping all ages and all abilities to become a better and healthier version of themselves physically and mentally.
We want everyone to feel inclusive at 3-1-5 and this group was set up to help everyone who needs some specific care and attention in finding their first steps back on their gym journey. You may be recovering from illness or injuries; you may have specific training needs or you may just need a little bit of help and encouragement in finding your feet. We are here to help this transition go as smoothly as we can.
3-1-5 also helps specialist groups, including our local Headway Brain Injury charity and also Cancer care with their journeys back to recovery and our results have been amazing, our testimonies speak for themselves!!
315 Health Club in partnership with Morecambe Area Divers are also proud to announce that they will be offering inclusive scuba diving sessions for children and adults with a disability.
Regardless of what the disability is, they have an experienced and passionate instructor called Curly who is fully qualified and very eager to promote his belief that a disability cannot and shouldn’t stop a person from experiencing the benefits of being in the water.
This will take place between 4pm and 6pm
Curly already has experience working with those with autism, visual impairments, learning and physical disabilities. He has been recognised by the BBC for the work he has done getting children and adults with disabilities into scuba-diving and now wishes to work with more disabled children in getting them into scuba diving.
Earlier this week the awesome Shaun Gash talked about his experience of scuba diving with MAD on BBC Radio Lancashire!
Mark from MAD said this…..
Shaun you sang our praises but we can’t sing your praises enough! We loved your quote about saying YES to opportunities and what incredible adventures you’ve had both on land and now underwater too! You constantly inspire and motivate others and your achievements are so deserved. Shaun has completed his Open Water course, Navigation and perfect buoyancy and is currently studying for his Deep Water SSI scuba diving qualification and is doing a great job of it with the team here at MAD! To catch up on the interview head over to BBC Radio Lancashire.
MAD divers are ready to to welcome all ages and all abilities to a whole new world underwater!
Resistance training plays a strong role in National Fitness Day and Great British Week of Sport. Read what Tom Whittaker, Paralympic Performance Director, British Weight Lifting has to say HERE
We also very proudly partnered up with Fit4access a new online platform to help provide greater safety and reassurance to everyone in our centre throughout these uncertain times. Screening will take place upon entry for the safety of all our visitors and members alike.
